PFAS exposure in Montour County
Like much of Pennsylvania, Montour County residents may have been exposed to PFAS through public water systems, private wells, AFFF firefighting foam at airports or fire-training sites, or proximity to industrial facilities. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the EPA continue to monitor PFAS levels statewide.
Even where contamination has not been front-page news, ongoing federal monitoring under the EPA’s UCMR 5 program is identifying additional Pennsylvania water systems with detectable PFAS. If you have lived or worked in Montour County and have been diagnosed with a qualifying condition, your case deserves a confidential review.
