PFAS exposure in Warminster
Warminster has some of the highest documented PFAS contamination in Pennsylvania. The former Naval Air Warfare Center Warminster used AFFF firefighting foam for decades, contaminating groundwater and shutting down multiple Warminster Municipal Authority wells. Residents who drank Warminster public or private well water for years may have been exposed to elevated PFOA, PFOS, and related PFAS chemicals.
